Renovation & Addition
Midwest Contracting Company provided General Contracting services for the renovation & addition to the existing Farmington Hills Fire Department Fire Station #5 in Farmington Hills, MI.
This project included a 3,000 SF addition as well as a 2,600 SF renovation to the existing facility. The main office functions were relocated due to the renovation work associated with the project but the fire station remained fully functional with dispatch service, sleeping quarters, breakrooms and fully active garage bays. The limited laydown and work area on all sides of the building as well as active radio tower fiber optic lines presented unique challenges to the project.
The addition and renovation will allow for a new Emergency Operations Center, conference rooms and new administrative staff offices.
